And lest you think it too fragile fer whackin', let me just point out that the hole you see in this next pic is sized to accept commonly available AA batteries, which should give you an idea of just how thick-walled the tube really is:

And with the use of one or two "dummy" AAs, voltage input can be controlled without jeopardizing those pesky, delicate circuit boards when duty calls this here Whackin' Tool into action.

We just need to decide whether a spear-point endcap might be overkill...and if we should call it the ClubLite, LightClub, Photon Baton, or...?
